From 17 to 20 September 2026, CIAQ will bring four days of screenings, workshops, meetings, networking aperitifs and moments dedicated to new cinematographic languages to the historic centre of L'Aquila.
The festival is open to collaboration with companies, institutions, associations, professionals, and entities that wish to contribute to the growth of a new cultural project.
Join the team
Being a CIAQ volunteer means getting to know first-hand the work that makes a festival possible: welcoming the public, preparing spaces and venues, supporting meetings, and coordinating various activities.
No previous film industry experience is necessary. We are looking for people who are willing to collaborate, learn, and approach the festival days with attention, enthusiasm, and team spirit.
What activities can you collaborate on
Depending on availability, skills and organisational needs, volunteers may be involved in one or more of the following areas:
Visitor reception and information
Assistance in the halls and locations;
Support during screenings, workshops and meetings;
Welcoming and assisting guests;
Registration of participants and access control;
Support for networking aperitifs;
Set-up and logistical support;
Communication, photography, video and social media;
Guiding the public between the various venues.
The preferences indicated in your application will help us identify the most suitable role, subject to the festival’s requirements.
What you will find
Before activities begin, an operational briefing will be held to outline the roles, points of contact and how the various sites operate.
Joining the CIAQ team will be an opportunity to:
- To experience the organisation of a cultural event from the inside;
- To gain a deeper insight into the world of cinema and events;
- Meeting people with different interests and experiences;
- To contribute to a project dedicated to the city of L'Aquila;
- To gain practical experience of collaboration and organisation.
It is not essential to be available for all four days. Shifts will be organised taking into account the indicated availabilities and the festival's needs.
Shifts, required availability, insurance cover and any benefits will be communicated before final confirmation.
