The CIAQ Film Festival is an annual film festival organized by Innovahub, private and self-funded. The first edition took place from September 17 to 20, 2026, in the historic center of Aquila, between the San Filippo Theater, Palazzo Ciccozzi, and Piazza del Teatro, with free screenings of short films, documentaries, and feature films, as well as meetings and awards ceremonies.
Over four days, the festival received 79 works from 9 countries (Italy, France, Croatia, Argentina, United Kingdom, Romania, Albania, United States and Switzerland) and recorded over 1,000 total attendance. The press review updated as of September 24, 2026 includes 44 articles and online reports, including ANSA, Il Messaggero (Abruzzo edition) and CinemaItaliano.info. According to the data communicated by the organization, in the last 30 days the Instagram profile has reached 400,101 views and 1,939 interactions.
Supporting the CIAQ means supporting a project that targets the public of Aquila and Abruzzo, Italian and foreign independent authors and producers, the press, and the institutions.
The first edition was sponsored by the Abruzzo Region, ANAC, Pescarabruzzo Foundation, Palazzi Aperti and Abruzzo Film Commission. Among the promoters are Spazio Indipendenza, Simon Film L’Aquila, Young ADSI Abruzzo Section and the Angelo De Nardis Association; AbruzzoWeb and Fluida were media partners, while LGF SRL, ABIVET and SimonFilm were gold partners.
